Beyond the classroom: Facing the fire with Ter Groene Poorte and CIB

When culinary training leaves the classroom, students come face to face with the fire. This year, Mibrasa hosted an exclusive masterclass for students from Ter Groene Poorte  (Bruges, Belgium) in collaboration with the CIB · Culinary Institute of Barcelona.

In this latest edition, learning was transformed into a real-world team challenge: following a set itinerary and a budget, students navigated the local market to personally source their produce. The ultimate goal: to harness the versatility of a Mibrasa charcoal oven and bring their own culinary creations to life.

From managing the market shop to the final plate presentation, the students experienced the full journey of a professional chef, showcasing exceptional talent and a remarkable ability to adapt to cooking over Mibrasa coals. It was an immersive experience where local produce and Mibrasa technique joined forces to shape the next generation of European gastronomy.
