The great Catalan author, Josep Pla, ambassador of Catalan culture and cuisine, once said, “The only truly viable cuisine is based on a limited and strict geography”. And so is in essence, restaurant Club Nàutic Costa Brava, located in the heart of the Port of Palamós, Girona.
Just a stone’s throw away from the sea, and a few kilometres from vineyards and crop fields, lies a cuisine centred solely around the Mediterranean; land and sea in its purest form. Chef Pablo Estrella, with his Mibrasa HMB SB 75 refines the rich ingredients he sources from the local area.
Only the freshest caught fish and seafood is served, which diners here are only too used to. With such a selection, it would surprise you to think that the signature dish is in fact rice cooked in the Mibrasa oven. Using quality grown rice from the Empordà region, a speciality that is second to none, Chef Pablo prepares us black rice, paella and rice with lobster.
40 years of experience, an unbeatable location, first-rate service from both the kitchen and front of house, decoration reminiscent of life at sea, and countless other reasons why a dining visit is a must.
