Nómada is the new gastronomic undertaking by Begoña Rodrigo, chef, winner of Top Chef’s first season in Spain and owner of consolidated restaurant, La Salita in Valencia capital.
Nómada is a venture. A venture to challenge total freedom in the kitchen, where the only restriction is geography in sourcing the ingredients. With produce at close proximity, and a menu oriented around healthy living, the team contribute their own grain of sand to a more sustainable world.
Nómada is experience and play in one. Which is why the restaurant layout has diners glued to the kitchen as they are seated along a mammoth 12-meter bar table-top in plain view of the Mibrasa Robatayaki RM 80 open grill, where chefs, like novelists, narrate a journey through the world of flavours and textures.
Nómada is travel. The decor serves as a sherpa around the natural world, there to inspire you with senses impregnated with sophisticated flavours and aromas. In every dish, Begoña relives her travel experiences in Mozambique, Thailand, Holland, the United states, Great Britain and naturally, her birthplace, Valencia.
Nómada is Begoña Rodrigo. Though she never intended on leading the life of a chef, life had its way of unfolding her calling to gastronomy and perhaps with such success on her side, it’s no wonder she isn’t looking back.
